Agitator Seal Repair
Unit sent in from a Polymer manufacturing plant in Louisiana. A 3.00″ Chemineer Seal was sent in still assembled in the motor and gearbox unit. The seal was removed and the seal seats were upgraded from Silicon Carbide to Tungsten Carbide. New Carbon Graphite rotary faces were installed. The seal was re-assembled and pressure tested to 60 psig. Unit has been back in operation for 6 months.
Mixer Seal Repair
Lightnin Mixer seal unit sent in from Polymer manufacturer in South Texas. End user wanted to have the unit converted from a single seal set up to a double style that would utilize a 3 gallon seal pot with an internal cooling coil to handle the high operating temps. (420 deg. F). We went with a Metallized Carbon rotary seal face on the product end running against a stationary Tungsten Carbide seat. On the outer end we installed a Carbon Graphite rotary seal face running against a stationary Silicon Carbide seat. Kalrez o?rings installed on product end. This unit has been back in operation for 12 months.
AGITATOR SEAL REPAIR
- Two Chemineer Agitator seal units sent in for overhaul.
- One of the two Chemineer units stripped to evaluate for scope of work.
- Both agitator seals re-assembled & pressure tested to 60psig – ready to go.

Agitator seal stripped down all parts were worn & in non repairable condition.
Customer advised us to replicate existing seal. New seal made & pressure tested to 60 psi ready to go.
