Assembly Seal
R1
Pressure balanced metal bellows with a graphite seal to the shaft.
The rotating bellows uses centrifugal force to throw contaminants away from bellows convolutions.
Temperatures over 450 F, below -10 F
R2
Pressure balanced metal bellows with O’Ring seal to the shaft.
The rotating bellows uses centrifugal force to throw contaminants away from bellows convolutions.
Temperatures under 450 F (Based on a viton elastomer)
above -10 F
R3
An inexpensive alternative to compression packings, the R3 is available in a variety of working lengths for each shaft size to accommodate different stuffing box depths.
- Multiple face material selections
- Elastomer bellows provides superior drive over O’ring driven seals.
R4
An inexpensive alternative to compression packings.
- A larger slection of elastomer material available.
- O’Ring seal to the shaft
- Fits smaller stuffing box cross-sections.
- Single spring compensates for shaft misalignment.
- Multiple working length variations.
R5
- Unique, heavy duty single spring design resists clogging in abrasive applications.
- Can be balanced to withstand extreme pressure.
- Designed to give equal face load during operation.
- Positive spring drive to withstand extreme torque from applications that may crystallize.
- Available also in cartride design. (EVO5)
- O’Ring seal to the shaft a larger selection of elastomers avaialble.
R6
- All metal parts isolated from corrosive fluids.
- Pre-set for easy installation.
- Outside mount allows easy access to clean the seal faces.
- No stuffing box is required.
- O’Ring seal to the shaft.
R7
An off the shelf balanced internal seal. A general service seal. (up to 500 psi)
- Static o’ring prevents shaft or sleeve wear.
- Springs are isolated from the product to prevent clogging.
- All seal shaft sizes have the same installation length of 1.75″.
R8 / R8B
Unbalanced & Balanced Designs / Multi-Spring / Setscrew Drive / Dynamic O’ring.
R9
Unbalanced, multi-spring, set screw driven seal uses a teflon wedge to seal on shaft. (up to 100psi)
Can be converted to a hydraulically balanced design to operate up to 600 psi. (R9B)
