Each white, pure PTFE fiber is saturated with a colloidal Teflon? suspension before braiding. Then a high quality break-in lubricant is added to ensure thermal stability during start-up. Enviropak 1123 is an excellent choice on most chemical processes.
Teflon is a registered trademark of Dupont de Nemours.
Enviropak 1140 is manufactured from 100% genuine GFO ? yarn. It has excellent thermal conductivity and abrasion resistance. Enviropak 1140 is a great general purpose packing that will not hydrolyse and is unaffected by almost all chemicals.
GFO is a registered trademark of W.L. Gore & Associates.
ROBCO 4029 is an all polymer aromatic polyamide fibre. The yarn possesses excellent static and dynamic fatigue resistance as well as a negative coefficient of expansion unlike other polymers such as PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) which expands at several times the rate of metals. The yarn is pre-lubricated with a combination of colloidal PTFE and a silicone lubricant (dimethyl siloxane).
ROBCO 5050 is produced from a high quality synthetic yarn that combines strength, chemical and high temperature resistance. The unusually high percentage of colloidal PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) it contains, fully saturates this stable yarn, resulting in a product that retains most of its original modulus up to 500 °F. It does not drastically soften as temperatures increases or become vulnerable to excessive deformation (and extrusion) under high operating pressures. Its great suppleness and flexibility allows ROBCO 5050 to seal with minimum gland follower pressure, thereby reducing friction and wear on both the sleeve and/or shaft.
